What students have to say about working with Kim:

It is no exaggeration to say that Kim gave me back my voice.  I had been an untrained singer for decades.  I participated in musical theater -- singing lead and choral roles, I sang karaoke in bars, and I participated in choirs.  At some point, my voice began to give out.  Formerly a soprano, I began to sing alto but even that was a strain. I was at the point of quitting singing altogether when my choir director suggested voice lessons. I was lucky enough to find Kim.

When I first began, I had no confidence, no stamina, and no range. Kim patiently let me duck recitals and coached me on controlling my nerves. As we worked together, I learned so much about breathing, technique, and strategies for practicing. My range came back, and my voice grew stronger. I still struggle with confidence, but now I seek out solo opportunities and say yes (mostly) when given the chance to perform.

Kim’s studio format offers a supportive group of fellow singers, and she provides her students with opportunities to get together to learn and perform. My individual lessons are wonderful, but the group experiences are also so valuable.  I can’t recommend Kim strongly enough.  She has made a huge difference in my musical life.
